Bulk Sugar & Sweetener Questions, Answered
Straight answers on ordering, pricing, packaging, and documentation — the things buyers ask before their first truckload.
Where can I buy sugar in bulk?
Directly from a distributor like US Sweeteners. We stock 40+ bulk sugars and sweeteners in Brooklyn, NY and ship nationwide from warehouses across the country — 50 lb bags, supersacks, drums, totes, and full tanker loads. Manufacturers, bakeries, breweries, and wholesalers order through a quick quote; no storefront, no retail markup.
What is the minimum order for bulk sugar?
Our minimums are set at manufacturing scale, not retail: dry sugars start at pallet quantities of 50 lb bags, and liquids start at drums, with pricing that improves at supersack, tote, and tanker volume. Tell us your monthly usage and we’ll quote the format that fits.
What packaging formats do you supply?
Dry products ship in 50 lb bags and 2,000+ lb supersacks; liquids ship in pails, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon IBC totes, and bulk tankers. Private label packaging is available across popular formats, including your own branding.
What is the wholesale price of sugar?
Bulk sugar is priced off the commodity market, so it moves with the #11 (world) and #16 (domestic) contracts, freight, and volume. That’s why we quote rather than publish prices — spot orders and annual contracts price differently. Request a quote and we’ll price your exact product, format, and delivery point.
Do your products ship with a COA?
Yes — every lot ships with a certificate of analysis covering purity, moisture, color, and product-specific specs, plus lot traceability. Kosher, organic, and non-GMO documentation is provided where applicable.
Do you offer private labeling?
Yes. We offer tailored packaging with popular sugar and sweetener brands or your own private label — a service we’ve run for close to two decades alongside bulk distribution.
How fast can you deliver?
We service all 50 states through multiple warehouses across the country, so most deliveries run days, not weeks. Consistently stocked inventory means truckloads are fast-tracked rather than waiting on mill schedules.
What is liquid sugar and who uses it?
Liquid sugar (liquid sucrose) is granulated sugar pre-dissolved into a ready-to-pump syrup. Beverage plants, dairies, and bakeries use it to skip the dissolving step and dose sweetness straight into tanks and mixers. We supply cane and beet liquid sucrose, high-color grades, and organic liquid sugar in totes and tankers.
What is dextrose used for in food manufacturing?
Dextrose is corn-derived glucose used for controlled sweetness, browning, and fermentation — in baking, brewing, confectionery, sports nutrition, and cured meats. It’s about 70% as sweet as sucrose, which gives formulators room to fine-tune. We stock powdered dextrose in 50 lb bags and supersacks, plus a liquid dextrose blend.
How should bulk sugar be stored?
Cool, dry, and off the floor: under 80°F and 60% relative humidity, on pallets, away from moisture and strong odors — sugar absorbs both. Properly stored granulated sugar has an indefinite shelf life; brown and liquid sugars have shorter windows, which is why our COAs document moisture on every lot.
