Applications by Industry
Grade selection isn’t cosmetic — crystal size and purity change how sugar behaves in your process. Here’s what we typically supply by application.
Bakery & Commercial Baking
Fine white granulated is the workhorse: uniform crystal size means predictable creaming, consistent dough hydration, and even browning across long production runs. Extra fine for delicate batters, aerated systems, and anything where undissolved crystal would show in the crumb. Coarse and sanding grades for topping, crunch, and heat-stable finish. If you’re running multiple SKUs, we can ship mixed-grade pallets so you’re not carrying separate freight for each.

Beverage & Soft Drink Production
Cold-fill and ambient beverage lines need fast, complete dissolution with no haze and no sediment. Extra fine granulated dissolves at ambient temperature without extended agitation, and our color and ash specs keep finished-product clarity where it needs to be. For high-throughput liquid systems, most beverage customers eventually move to bulk liquid sucrose at 67° Brix — we supply both and can help you compare landed cost per pound of solids.
Brewing, Distilling & Winemaking
Brewers and distillers care about fermentability and consistency batch to batch, not appearance. Our refined granulated sugar is ≥99.85% fermentable sucrose with no invert variability to throw off attenuation or yield calculations. Priming, boil additions, ABV adjustment, and fermentable extension all run predictably. Tanker and tote formats suit distillery-scale volumes; 50 lb bags suit craft-brewery batch charging.
Confectionery & Chocolate
Confectionery is where crystal size and moisture tolerance matter most. Consistent crystal distribution controls nucleation in fondants and creams, prevents graining where you don’t want it, and produces it reliably where you do. Low moisture and tight ash keep panning and chocolate work stable. Sanding and coarse grades for decorative and textural finish.
Dairy & Frozen Dessert
Ice cream, frozen novelties, flavored yogurt, and condensed dairy systems need sugar that dissolves fully during pasteurization and contributes predictable freezing-point depression. Uniform crystal size and clean flavor profile mean no gritty mouthfeel and no off-note carried into a delicate dairy base.
Sauces, Dressings, Preserves & Condiments
High-solids systems, hot-fill lines, and long shelf-life products need consistent solubility and no color contribution. Our low color spec keeps light-colored sauces and fruit preparations looking the way your spec sheet says they should. Available in totes for continuous batching and bags for recipe-scale charging.
Private Label & Co-Packing
Co-packers running multiple customer formulas need documentation depth more than anyone: per-lot COAs, traceability that survives an audit, and cane-vs-beet declarations that match each brand owner’s label claims. We can hold contract volume and release against your production schedule.
Bulk Granulated Sugar Specifications
Our standard fine white granulated sugar is refined pure sucrose milled to a consistent crystal size that dissolves cleanly in both dry-blend and liquid systems. Spec sheets and SDS are available for every grade before you order.

Typical sieve limits for our standard fine white grade, on cumulative US Standard screens: 0–2% retained on US 20, 0–20% retained on US 30, 90–100% retained on US 100, and 0–10% passing US 100.
One thing worth knowing before you compare quotes: granulated sugar grade names are descriptive, not standardized. “Extra fine” from one refiner is not necessarily the same granulation as “extra fine” from another. Always compare the sieve analysis, not the label.
Finer crystal fractions dissolve faster and disperse more evenly in dry blends; coarse fractions hold structure through high-temperature bake and resist melt. If your formula is dialed to a specific dissolution rate or screen distribution, send us the spec and we’ll match it rather than substituting a nearest-available grade.

Why Source Bulk Granulated Sugar From US Sweeteners
Consistent, food-grade quality
Tight crystal-size and purity tolerances mean the sugar behaves the same way every run — critical when your formulas are dialed in and a spec drift means scrapped batches.
Volume pricing that scales with you
The more you run, the less you should pay per pound. We quote competitive per-pound rates on bulk sugar, and buying granulated sugar in bulk reduces per-pound cost through truckload economics while locked supply contracts keep your COGS predictable.
Reliable nationwide delivery
We ship to all 50 states with short lead times (typically 1–2 business days to dispatch). Flexible freight, full tracking, and delivery documentation come standard.
Documentation your QA team will thank you for
Every load can ship with a Certificate of Analysis and full lot traceability. SDS, kosher, allergen, and GMO statements are available whenever your customers or auditors ask.
A real supplier relationship
Since 1987 we’ve grown by being dependable, not by being the cheapest order-and-disappear vendor. You get a sales contact who knows your account, your spec, and your delivery schedule.
Granulated Sugar Grades We Supply
We offer a range of wholesale granulated sugars to meet diverse application needs. From baking supplies to beverage manufacturing, we supply consistent quality and flexibility.
Understanding the difference between granulated sugar and other types of sugar is important for achieving the desired results in recipes. Granulated sugar is pure sucrose with no molasses, while brown sugar, light brown sugar, and dark brown sugar contain varying amounts of molasses, giving them a richer flavor and a darker color. Light brown sugar has less molasses than dark brown sugar, which results in a milder taste and lighter hue. As an example, dark brown sugar is often used in recipes where a deeper, more robust flavor is desired, while light brown sugar is preferred for a subtler sweetness.
Note that liquid sweeteners, such as honey or syrup, behave differently from granulated sugar in recipes, affecting moisture and texture.
Beyond granulated, we also supply bulk turbinado sugar, wholesale confectioners’ powdered sugar, bulk organic cane sugar, and bulk liquid sucrose.
Fine White Granulated Sugar
The standard for most production — dry blends, baking, sauces, beverages
Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
Fast ambient dissolution, cold beverage, smooth dessert systems, aerated batters
Granulated Beet Sugar
Functionally interchangeable with cane in most systems, often the better landed cost
Granulated Cane Sugar
Cane-origin label claims, caramelization work, even browning
Coarse Sugar
Heat-stable bake applications, texture, decorative finish
Granulated Sugar FAQ
What is the minimum order for bulk granulated sugar?
Our minimum is 1,000 lb — one pallet, or 40 bags at 50 lb. Below that, a foodservice distributor is usually a better fit than a bulk supplier. Above it, per-pound pricing improves at every volume break through full truckload and tanker.
What is the bulk density of granulated sugar?
Loose bulk density for standard fine white granulated sugar runs approximately 51–55 lb/ft³ (0.82–0.88 g/cm³), which matters for silo and bin sizing, volumetric dosing accuracy, and freight cube calculations. Angle of repose is roughly 30°–44°, which is what drives hopper wall angles and bin discharge design. Packed density runs higher after settling in transit, and aerated product handled pneumatically can measure considerably lower — closer to 44 lb/ft³. Coarse grades sit lower and extra fine slightly higher. Exact figures for your grade are on the spec sheet.
What sizes do bulk sugar bags come in?
We supply 50 lb and 100 lb bags, 2,000 lb totes, and 48,000 lb bulk tankers. 50 lb is the most common format for bakery and commercial kitchen operations; totes and tankers make sense once you’re dosing automatically or receiving into a silo.
How much does bulk granulated sugar cost?
Per-pound cost depends on volume, packaging format, cane vs. beet origin, freight lane, and whether you’re buying spot or on contract. Buying by the truckload or tanker rather than the pallet is the single biggest lever. Send your spec and volume and we’ll quote it with freight included.
How fast can you ship bulk granulated sugar?
Bagged product typically dispatches 1–2 business days from stocked inventory, totes 2–3 business days, and bulk tanker or railcar is scheduled 5–10 business days out. Transit sits on top of that depending on lane. Tell us your required delivery date and we’ll confirm before you commit.
Can I get a Certificate of Analysis, SDS, and other documentation?
Yes. COA per lot, SDS, full lot traceability, kosher certification, allergen and GMO statements, and country-of-origin declarations are all available with your shipment. Continuing guarantee letters on request.
Is your granulated sugar cane or beet?
We supply both. Beet and cane granulated sugar are functionally interchangeable in most applications — same ≥99.85% sucrose, same sweetness, same behavior in most formulas. The difference matters for label claims, some organic and non-GMO programs, and a small number of formulas sensitive to trace differences. If your spec or label requires one specifically, note it on your order and we’ll source accordingly.
How should bulk granulated sugar be stored?
Keep it sealed, dry, and cool, away from moisture and strong odors. Sugar is hygroscopic, so moisture control is the whole game — clumping and caking are almost always a humidity problem, not a product problem. Desiccants help keep product free-flowing in longer-term storage; do not use oxygen absorbers, which can make clumping worse. Stored properly, granulated sugar keeps indefinitely. More detail: how to store bulk sugar.
What's the difference between fine and extra fine granulated sugar for production?
Crystal size, and therefore dissolution rate and blend uniformity. Fine white is the standard across most baking, sauce, and dry-blend applications. Extra fine dissolves faster at ambient temperature — the right call for cold-fill beverage, smooth dessert systems, and aerated batters where an undissolved crystal would be detectable. If you’re troubleshooting grit, haze, or extended mix times, moving a grade finer is usually the first thing to try.
Do you offer volume discounts and contract pricing?
Yes. Per-pound price improves with order size through truckload and tanker economics, and we offer locked-in rates on long-term supply agreements for manufacturers with recurring volume — which keeps your COGS predictable when the market moves.
