Consistent, food-grade quality
Tight crystal-size and purity tolerances mean the sugar behaves the same way every run — critical when your formulas are dialed in and a spec drift means scrapped batches.

Types of Granulated Sugar from US Sweeteners
We offer a range of wholesale granulated sugars to meet diverse application needs. From baking to beverage manufacturing, we supply consistent quality and flexibility.
Understanding the difference between granulated sugar and other types of sugar is important for achieving the desired results in recipes. Granulated sugar is pure sucrose with no molasses, while brown sugar, light brown sugar, and dark brown sugar contain varying amounts of molasses, giving them a richer flavor and a darker color. Light brown sugar has less molasses than dark brown sugar, which results in a milder taste and lighter hue. As an example, dark brown sugar is often used in recipes where a deeper, more robust flavor is desired, while light brown sugar is preferred for a subtler sweetness.
Note that liquid sweeteners, such as honey or syrup, behave differently from granulated sugar in recipes, affecting moisture and texture.
Fine White Granulated Sugar
A Standard for food production, this sugar dissolves easily and blends well in dry or wet systems. Ideal for mass-produced baked goods, sauces, and beverages. This is the most commonly used sugar in recipes. Note that for certain baked goods like meringues or frostings, superfine sugar, caster sugar, or powdered sugar may be preferred for their softer texture and ability to dissolve quickly. Sugar also acts as a flavor enhancer in baked goods, and other ingredients can impact the final product.
Turbinado Sugar
Turbinado sugar is a minimally processed sugar with large crystals and a natural molasses flavor. It is commonly used as a topping for muffins and other baked goods, where it is sprinkled on top before baking to add crunch and visual appeal.
Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
Finer crystal size ensures even faster dissolving, ideal for cold drinks, sauces, and smooth dessert applications such as puddings and mousses. Superfine sugar (also called caster sugar) is ideal for making meringues and smooth batters, as it dissolves more easily and creates a finer crumb. It can be made at home by processing granulated sugar in a blender or food processor until finely ground.
Granulated Beet Sugar
Derived from sugar beets, this variety offers a clean taste and slightly firmer texture. Preferred in some confectionery and pastry applications for its consistency.
Granulated Cane Sugar
Sourced from sugarcane, this sugar has a light aroma and is excellent for caramelization and evenly browned baked goods. It’s commonly used in beverages and syrups.
Coarse Sugar
Larger crystals resist melting, making this a favorite for baking, decorating, and high-temperature cooking. It provides a satisfying crunch and visual appeal. Coarse sugar is often sprinkled or used for sprinkling on top of baked goods to add crunch and visual appeal.
Sanding Sugar
Used decoratively, sanding sugar features large, heat-resistant crystals that hold their shape and sparkle when baked. Often used on cookies, scones, and seasonal confections.
Powdered Sugar
Powdered sugar (also known as confectioners sugar or icing sugar) is a finely ground sugar that is sifted to remove clumps. It is commonly used in frostings, glazes, and for dusting desserts due to its quick dissolving properties and soft texture.
Granulated Sugar FAQ
How should bulk granulated sugar be stored in an airtight container?
Keep it in a sealed, dry, cool environment away from moisture and strong odors. Sugar is hygroscopic, so preventing moisture absorption helps avoid clumping. Keep it away from liquids. Desiccants can help keep it free-flowing in storage. Do not use oxygen absorbers, as they can contribute to clumping. Stored properly, granulated sugar has an effectively indefinite shelf life, giving you plenty of time and making it easy to store.
How to Soften White Granulated Sugar?
Place hardened sugar in an airtight container with a slice of bread or damp paper towel. After several hours, it will reabsorb moisture and soften. Alternatively, microwave in a bowl covered with a damp towel for a few seconds.
What is White Sanding Sugar?
White sanding sugar is a decorative coarse sugar with large crystals that retain their shape during baking. It’s perfect for cookies, pastries, and festive dessert toppings.
Is Granulated Sugar the Same as Table Sugar?
Yes, granulated sugar is the same as table sugar. It’s the most common form of sugar used in both household kitchens and commercial food production due to its fine texture and ability to dissolve easily. White sanding sugar is a decorative coarse sugar with large crystals that retain their shape during baking. It’s perfect for cookies, pastries, and festive dessert toppings.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Per-pound price improves with order size, since buying granulated sugar in bulk reduces per-pound cost, and we offer locked-in rates through long-term supply contracts for manufacturers with recurring needs.
Can you provide a Certificate of Analysis and other documentation?
Yes. COAs, SDS, lot traceability, and kosher/allergen/GMO statements are available on request with your shipment.
Is your sugar cane or beet?
We supply both. Beet and cane granulated sugar—commonly used as table sugar and often sold as white sugar—are functionally interchangeable in most applications; if your formula or label requires one specifically, note it on your order and we’ll source accordingly.
